VE/VJ Day Celebrations at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth on 29-30th May 2005.

Photo 1 shows the ROCA display in a room at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth, Cornwall. English Heritage ran a two day event from 29th to 30 May to celebrate the ending of WWII in 1945 and the ROC display with post instrument and telephone was present for both days. Much interest was again shown and the ROC Room was visited by several former ROC members who were amazed to see their past before them !

Photo 2 above shows the 'ROC in WWII in Cornwall' display in more detail. Note the aircraft silhouette cards and a replica of part of the Truro Group main wartime plotting table complete with track and symbols. The board is magnetic and of much interest to young boys !!
