Looking back to 1979, a helicopter flight for our ROC crew on 30.5.79, courtesy of No. 2 Flying Training School, at RAF Shawbury, Shropshire.
Pictured on RIGHT is Obs Bill Wilkins, with Obs Chris Fletcher (second right) of 8 Group, 41 Post ROC, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, after their flight aboard Westland Whirlwind XR485 on a very rainy day.
(XR485 is now preserved at FLIXTON museum, which has strong ROC connections).
